Snickerdoodles

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 1/3 c. flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt

Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs.

Sift together dry ingredients and add to wet.

Roll into 1/2" balls, then roll each ball in mixture of 1/2 c. sugar and 1 t. cinnamon

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for 6 minutes. Cookies will puff up while baking then flatten as they cool
