1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck or ground round
1 c. cracker crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 T. g. pepper, chopped
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 T Worcerstershire sauce
1 (4oz) can tomato sauce
Sauce
1/2 c. ketchup
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 T. Worcerstershire sauce
1/2 tsp. mustard (mom uses dry)
Mix ingredients in order given and shape in a loaf. Bake in a 1 1/2 qt loaf pan for 1 1/4 hours at 350. Drain and pour over sauce. Return to oven for 15 minutes.

Do you find that no other meatloaf comes remotely close to your moms? Like, I love meatloaf, I really do, but I try to order while eating and and it's almost like it's some other dish entirely.

ReplyDeleteI really don't think I would EVER eat any other meatloaf than my mom's recipe. I've heard too many stories.
